New Blog
I’ve decided to refresh my personal website, in the form of a new blog. I decided to make a new blog because I’m interested in doing some new coding projects and writing about some of the books that I’ve read recently. I don’t plan to update very often, but I’m hoping to write a new post at least once every three months, because I think that’s roughly how often I start or complete something that might be worth writing about.
I’ve made a few changes to how I manage this website. The main one is that I started the process of switching hosting providers from DigitalOcean to Netlify. The downside to this is that I might not be able to host some of the small web applications I wrote during 2016-2019 on subdomains like I used to. I’m working out whether or not I can move them to a folder hosted on this website, or if I can set them up as seperate Netlify projects. For now, the websites I set up on subdomains of cfseanor.com are still hosted on the old server. I’m also using Hugo instead of Jekyll as a static site generator, and I’ve decided to simply go with the terminal theme with a few tweaks to the color scheme.
I look forward to using this new blog, and I’m hoping that the changes to how I manage it will make it easier for me to keep it up to date.
